Areas of Specialty

1. General adult neurology including subspecialty qualification in cerebrovascular disease (stroke).
2. Subspecialty interest in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders qualified to provide botulinum toxin injections for movement disorders or chronic pain, headaches, and other neurological conditions; assess patients with musculoskeletal pain and musculoskeletal disorders, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, headaches, epilepsy (seizure disorders), peripheral nerve, muscular disorders, spinal cord disorders, diagnosis and treatment of neuritic pain.
3. Qualified to perform electrodiagnostic studies, peripheral nerve studies, and electromyography.

Qualifications

1. Consulting privileges Lions Gate Hospital.
2. Assistant Professor of Neurology, University of British Columbia, Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology.
3. Member of Canadian Society of Neurophysiologists, qualified in electroencephalography and electrodiagnostic studies.
4. Member of the Canadian Stroke Consortium (CSC).
5. Founding member and first chairperson of Ethics Committee of the CSC.
6. Presently member of the Ethics Committee CSC and member of the Policy and Advocacy Committee of CSC.
7. Fellow American Heart Association.
8. Fellow American Neurological Association.
9. Permanent alumni member of the Medical Research Council of Canada.
10. Principal investigator of clinical stroke trials for Lions Gate Hospital in Vancouver and Canada for the past 30 years. This involves acute and chronic therapy cerebrovascular clinical trials.
11. Appointed by the British Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2018 to be the investigator of Neurology practices in British Columbia.
12. Head of the Division of Neurology of Lions Gate Hospital for 28 years.
13. Head of the Department of Encephalography at Lions Gate Hospital for 27 years.
14. Accepted as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Supreme Court of New Brunswick, Supreme Court of Washington State over the last 28 years.
